Disciplining a 2yr old?
My son is 2yrs old who is going thru the tyranical 2s - tantrum throwing, screaming, the usual. No other kids. Only spank (1 lite slap) if he does sumthin reali bad. We confiscate toys, ignore his behavior or try to distract him. I don't want him to bcome a spoilt brat n all his g/parents love pampering him. I know this is a phase but i want to know what i can do to stop this from becmin the norm

In our research, we've found that most 2 y/o's who go through the stage you describe, are accustomed to getting their way.
Children study our behaviors, better than we study theirs and they can spot inconsistency and fear IN YOU a mile way. I won't go into great detail here, but if you're a facebooker join the Quite AParent fan page and we offer suggestions to turn the situation around.

I know it is hard, however try to ignore any "bad" behavior possible. Toddlers don't know the difference between good or bad attention, only attention. Also, praise all of the "Good" behaviors. You could also let him know that you only hear his words, not his screams; or you could try letting him know that screaming is for outside and that he needs to use his inide voice. It may sound crazy, but if you whisper to him when you need his attention it just might work!
