How do you get your kids to enjoy exercise? Does enrolling them in sports work?

Yes, sports make it fun to excercise. The kids get so involved in the game, the last thing they think about is sitting down or eating. Excercise can be fun at home, too. My kids and I love an impromtu game of Mother May I with its animal hops and marches. I can get some excercise kicking a soccer ball with my son , afterschool, as well. Wiis are great, too. After boxing with my daughter, golfing with my son, and bowling with both, I was worn out. And they were primed and ready for more. Hubbie loves it, too. In fact, he's the one who brought it home!

Another good way to show them exercising is fun by you doing it with them. You can get bikes and go bike riding or even just working out at home. If they see you doing it, they may want to do it too. I started to exercise after I had my son, and after he saw me doing it when he was about 2 yrs old, he jumped in with me and started copying me.
