Is Miss CA being persecuted for her opinions, or should she lose her crown because of the nude pics? It seems everyone has an opinion -- what's yours?

But the major point of the controversy all started when she gave her answer to Perez Hilton's question. Then so conveniently all the other allegation come up. If she had taken semi-nude pictures were there any people on the committee that chooses these women to investigate any past occurrences of violation before they enter the pageants. I can't say wether or not she fulfilled her contractual agreements but honestly this is all fishy and I'm glad she at least gets to keep her crown. If it were me honestly I would say you can shove it!

I am a gay black male myself and I feel that Perez Hitlon needs to shut up!!! This is USA. Land of free speech!! What Ms. California did was her right and her beliefs. Just because she doesn't believe in same sex marriage, which I don't either does not give Perez the right to go on a rampage: i.e calling her a bitch. All I have to say to Ms. California is to hold your head up and don't let this foolishness knock you down. You are already successful and may God continue to bless you with more success. And So what she has semi-nude photos. Have we not learned from the situation of Vanessa Williams. She went on to be the most successful Ms.USA. I swear some of you need to get of of your high horses and just stay quiet. Like it says in the bible, "He that is without sin, cast the first stone." So until one of us are able to do that let her live her life!!

Carrie Prejean was asked a question and she answered it honestly. Because he didn't like her answer
Perez Hilton, the Miss America judge had a temper tantrum and posted hateful things about her on his blog which included far more offensive "doctored" photos then any Carrie may have posed for. Then the Miss California organization went on the attack. Through it all, Carrie Prejean has shown grace and class and it is for that reason that I am very happy that she will be retaining her title.

"a" , whoever you are, you keep swearing profusely at folks when you post your comments. That's bad enough. Worse, as you're berating us women that 'sicken' you, us 'bible thumping happy clappers', your spelling is as pathetic as your attitude. Far from being a "brudemare (sp) and house maid to their husbands", some us have advanced college degrees and keen intellects.a said:
fer fuck sake you women sicken me. Please come up with a coganative thought on your own, and remember that these conservatives , and bible thumping happy clappers you have taken sides with ,think we should all be barefoot and pregnant, and would deny you your equallity in this world. You women are a disgrace to all the real women who strive to be more that a brudemare and house maid to their husbands. Only a emoitionally challenged retard sets her goals so low, as to be a stay at home overweight, bad hair, un femine, unsexy sloth, mother, who's selfworth is defined by the shallow acomplishment's of their offspring and spouse.....Pathetic.

“In the last days, perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves (wanting to be bailed out from bad choices that they’ve made), covetous (want responsible taxpayers to pay for homes they can’t afford, yet refusing to relinquish them), boasters (bragging about how the government will take care of them, not God), proud blasphemers (attempting to discredit/erase God by removing Him from all public places. ), disobedient to parents, unthankful (not grateful for they have, always wanting more), unholy (Living empty lives without God in it), Without natural affection (attempting to legalize homosexuality and gay marriage), trucebreakers, false accusers (Blaming others for their difficulties. Refusing to take responsibility for their situation), incontinent (Uncontrolled, unrestrained in spending on frivolous unnecessary earmarks) , fierce, despisers of those that are good . Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof. --- From such turn away. 2 Timothy 3:1-5

“But they shall proceed no further, for their folly shall be manifest unto all men.” 2 Timothy 3: 9.

In other words - If you live your life as though there is no God......... YOU BETTER BE RIGHT!!!!!

Candice, read my post carefully. I am AGAINST same sex marriage. I have no problem with inter-RACIAL marriage or people of different religious faiths marrying----as long as one is man and one is woman because the definition of marriage is male and female. That is the institution of marriage.Candice Taylor said:
YES IT IS! READ YOUR BIBLE IT'S AN ABOMINATION BEFORE THE LORD. Gay marriage goes against what God wants for us and what he told us to do, BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY. Two people of the same gender cannot do that.

zpp, you spout nonsense. You're one of those 'christians' whose God is always gonna be politically correct! Talk about circular thinking! Inter-racial and inter-religious marriages are NOT the same as inter-gender. Want to know why, Miss oh-so-smart? Because inter-racial and inter-religious marriage does not change the DEFINITION of the insitution of marriage, which for many many centuries has been between men and women. Duh!! And what the hell is "Bush-logic?' Haven't you heard we've got a new president? Or have you been spending a lot of your happy time on liberal/progressive blogs? That's usually the case when someone starts spouting off about "polarized thinking", "low i.q", and/or "some type of mental instability." Either that or you listened too closely when your college professors pontificated about the RELATIVITY of 'evil.' Speaking of low i.q...

This answer from Carrie's mother makes sense - because the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. She says that Carrie is a Christian, and then makes it sound as if ALL Christians believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. We don't! I married a man and I am a woman. I am Christian on all sides for as far back as we can track. But I don't believe that I have the answer for other people's marital choice. And I sure don't think that our government has the right to deny two adults the right to get married on the grounds of their sexual orientation (any more than they had the right to deny inter-racial or inter-religious marriages - which of course, they did!.) Let inter-gender marriages be legalized! Heterosexual is no better than any other sexual being. That Carrie's mother calls the Miss USA judge "evil" smacks of Bush-logic. Evil because he has a different belief? Evil because she is "non-evil"? Polarized thinking is usually the result of a low I.Q. or some type of mental instability. It's too bad she was crowned at all. What a hypocrite she is, telling people who should get married... she calls her daughter "moral" when she signed a paper saying she had no nude pictures of herself floating, and it was a lie. Christian? Yes, but what kind of a Christian is she, really? Not an honest one, that's clear by now. Pretty girl, pretty narrow parenting. Oh well.

Since when is is it not okay to speak your opinion. We have gotten to be such a "politically correct" nation, that we have to watch everything we say. Her opinion is that marriage is between a man and woman. That is her opinion and she should be able to state it whether she is Miss CA or just Miss Jane Doe. It doesn't mean that we have to agree or disagree, it is HER opinion. Should she have lied for the sake of the crown? If she had none of the controversy would have arose. I am proud of her for being true to herself.
My opinion is that Perez Hilton handled all this with very little taste, or respect for anybody. He has very little morale values and I think the Miss USA pagent could have done a better job picking their judges. I have nothing against being gay, but he is vulgar and rude, as was evident in his video blog after the pagent.

Where are all of the MEN in this country?

This woman is beautiful inside and out

Why do we give twerps like this pagent judge a voice?

40 years of brainwashing still doesn't make homosexuality either normal or superior.

We have a right to say what we want in this country and displays and outbursts from these people just shows hw warped they are. If we isolated these people on an island they would die out in a generation..now thats normal.

And by the way. To all of you pseudo sexually repressed whiners...you have seen more sexually sugesstive photos in the Sears catalogue. These were not some porn shots as is impled by the media. What a pathetic argument by a group of losers.

Real men of America stand up. Put the pathetic gays back in their place...on the sideline, marginalized by society. The real power is in the true polarization of the sexes. Not by males who believe the anal orifice is for anything else but the elimination of body waste. And many in our society believe this is normal? Wake up!

1) She didn't appear nude. Her pictures had one breast partially exposed (allegedly others exist showing her topless, but I have not been able to locate them).
2) The pageant owner, Donald Trump, considered NOM work trivial and harmless. He's the one who should decide alleged contract violations. And we should encourage kids to work in the political process.
3) It is a lie that she has not "made herself available to the pageant organization and has not openly communicated with them".
4) She is not a "hypocrit" (sic) for answering a question asked of her honestly. BTW, J. Overton says "nude" and then contradicts himself by later saying "semi-nude". So he's the hypocrite.

1) It is ridiculous that Miss Cali was berated for her response to a question that no matter how she answered it would cause controversy. Just what the pageant wanted. Ironically, she's going to be the greatest benefactor.
2) Donald Trump loves this stuff. No such thing as bad publicity. He is reveling in this nonsense. Of course, he should, all of his other businesses are going bankrupt (except for the sophomoric Celebrity Apprentice.) Of course, he would want Perez Hilton back, more publicity.
3) I don't know how smart she is or isn't, but she should not have been put down by this obviously biased judge. Judges are supposed to be fair.

I don't think she should have been able to keep her crown as she violated the rules and that should have been enforced.

The girl was very critical of gays, but got very upset when people criticized her pornographic pics.

Throughout this situation I have been perplexed by Ms. Prejeans, and now her mothers, whining that Carries freedom of speech has been violated? Do they not understand that freedom of speech has nothing to do with a legal reaction you get from having and exercising this right? When the Dixie Chicks made their comments about President Bush and middle America threatened their lives, banned them from radio stations and boycotted and burned their albums in effigy they didn't whine about their freedom of speech being violated. They continued to speak their minds, stood behind their principles and dealt with the after-effects. Ms. Prejean needs to understand that freedom of speech only protects your right to say what you feel and from being persecuted by the government or its' agents. It doesn't and shouldn't protect you from the opposition. If you're not strong enough to stand up for what you believe in and take the criticism that comes from having a controversial opinion that was voiced in a world-wide media forum, don't speak up. Simple as that.

And now I won't even try and explain my confusion after having watched her saying on GMA that she didn't consider her pictures to be semi-nude? Wait what? You can see her nipple in one of the photos and her pretty little butt is hanging out in another...in my mind that's semi-nude for a woman no matter how you spin it. After watching todays interview, I think she's a whiner and a liar and deserves all the criticism and jeering that she gets. Oh yeah, she definitely should have lost her crown.

Damn right...we should be able to marry anything we want. Marrry a pig or a dog. Who is the church to tell us this is wrong. Who is the govenment to say 18 is the age of consent. Look at Saudi Arabia..you can marry an 8 year old there but here in the USA the stupid people ,Christiians I would guess..say that this is wrong. Good for you and your enlightened views
