Real Stories. Real Advice. Real Moms.

We are in shock. The King of Pop and father of three has passed away.

A baby-faced young Michael debuted on as a member of legendary Jackson 5. After touring the world with his brothers, he broke out on his own in 1972. Five of his solo studio albums have become some of the world's best-selling records: Off the Wall (1979), Thriller (1982), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991) and HIStory (1995). "Thriller" was the best selling album of all time. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.
He holds several Guinness World Records -- including one for "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time" Our hearts go out the Jackson's children.

Please share with us your thoughts and pay tribute to an artist who is a true legend in the music industry.

I am in shock too. Even as I Christian I sometimes feel there are some people that will live forever. I know we all have to die, but I just didn't think Michael Jackson would go so soon. Michael Jackson was a staple in our household growing up. I think he was apart of a lot of lives.

The irony of the situation is my son's recent obsession to Michael Jackson. He and his aunt had just covered several of his songs and made a cd of them. He was a fan right away. He would stay-up, at night at that, watching the Thriller video. He learned nearly all his songs. He even started dancing around the house as if MJ had given him personal dancing lessons. I thought it was cool that a legend from decades ago still had such an influence on my 7 year old son.

Michael's death has opened up a dialogue for my son and I. I was able to explain to him why people die. He wanted to know how many people had died that day (6.25) because he heard all the stories about Farrah and Michael. I told him thousands of people probably died today, but they are only talking about these two people so much because they are celebrities.

MJ will definitely be missed, but never forgotten. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

Michael Jackson is an icon and now that he is gone it is hard to believe. I agree with Keonte, that sometimes it seems as certain people will be around forever. Ladies! Let's share our favorite MJ songs here as a tribute. Mine is Man in the Mirror. I think it really said a lot - not only about society but about himself.

Music lives on forever...even though the man may not. RIP Michael!

omg, i did not know. yes he was bizarre these end years but i think that with no rules, no parental guidance, and way to much money at such a young age, he never grow emotionally, why should he, was no reason. he did not have to see himself any more a man than he was at 18 when his trust came to him. He could have anything at anytime from just about anyone. But thats just my perception. i will miss him, he was my childhood idol and teen idol too.
My first album [really a 45] my mother gave me with the song rocken robin.
