Are you putting your children in swimming lessons this summer? If so, how old do you think children should be to start learning how to swim? Are toddlers too young to start?

I think the earlier kids know water safety the better. Classes are available for children 6months plus at most ymcas and community centers. With how often kids are around pools I think as long as they can float and know the basics they are safer. The little baby classes also teach parents water safety which is very important.
