Real Stories. Real Advice. Real Moms.

More and more (uniformed, selfish and idiotic parents) are choosing NOT to vaccinate their kids - and in turn putting all our vaccinated kids at risk. Parents are choosing not to vaccinate because they believe that doing so can lead to autism - something that has not real medical proof.

Well, I have a solution. Since the government can't force parents non-vaccinating idiots to do so then kids who're intentionally vaccine-less should be FORCED (by the government) to wear a bracelet that indicates their parents irresponsible and anti-social choice.

The mandatory bracelets would allow we parents who do vaccinate to decide whether we want your potentially disease ridden kids playing with out kids, coming to our home, or in the same class with our disease free kids.

Kids who are not vaccinated risk contracting, incubating and passing along diseases that can be potentially fatal to infants, children, and babies still in the womb - how is that ok?

I know this is harsh but I really think that it should be legally mandated that ALL children must be vaccinate.

I'd love to hear what you think about the vaccination debate.

I totally agree with you Bec. When I was reading this all I could think of was what the Jews had to go through and she wants and thinks it's ok to do that to children? I do take my son to get his vaccinations and always say a little prayer before the needle goes in. Thankfully he doesn't need anymore until he's 11. But the last time I checked there isn't a vaccination, aside from the flu shot, for the common cold and my son is constantly coming home from kindergarten with a cough, runny nose, fever.

LOL your justifcation is all backwards, un-vax'd kids don't put your vax'd kids at risk since your vax'd kids are vax'd against the illness an un-vax'd kids might carry. Your arguement points out there truely is no point in vaxing your kids with all the poison since the vax does no good anyway, so your own arguement is rather counterproducative and ignorant.

I remember a really relivant piece of history, the Jews were once forced to where the Star of David on their clothes so that everyone new who they were, we all know how that turned out now don't we.

lol. lol. lol.....all I can really do is laugh at this one and tell you to get an education. A child should never be punished, and I can tell you I would gladly wear a bracelet and state that my child is not vaccinated. I would love for people like you to stay far away from me. Also just because someone isn't vaccinating their children don't assume they will not later. Sometimes when kids have terrible reactions like mine did it is recommended by the Doctor to wait until they are older to vaccinate. Vaccines for stuff like the flu is plain stupid...and fyi since I feel you need the information...vaccines can also make you sicker in the end...GET A DAMN BOOK.

Radical Mommy, you are...radical. and while i may have chosen a far more diplomatic approach to communicate it :), i tend to side with your point. my oldest brother (age 42) has just been hospitalized for a strand of chicken pox that - had there been vaccinations in his day - he never would have been contracted. His IS a life and death situation, harrowingly enough - but he's one of the lucky ones. so far.
Not everything is a conspiracy, people. vaccinations - with a few exceptions - are meant to better our kids' lives. Do your research, look at the big picture, sure - but also have faith that some doctors go through all that schooling and debt to make our kids' world a better place.
Peace, sugar mama

You are really harsh! Making kids wear a scarlet letter because of their parents' choices is a bit much. I vaccinate my son, but I think it's a parent's right to make their own choices for their kids. I know this sounds naive and uninformed, but how does their decision affect kids who are already vaccinated? If they want to take the risk with their children, that's their prerogative.

Wow! AMEN to all of the comments! I don't like being called an idiot, but if I have to be an idiot to keep my child from being a "government guinea pig" well then, so beit, I'm an idiot! Hope you didn't vaccinate yourself with that LYME vaccination that they put out on the market for a very short period of time before they infected many people with LYME DISEASE! They had to recall it..too late! These people will now either die or suffer for the rest of their lives! I think you were harsh in your words but hopefully it will only make you think a little longer before you speak up and call us all idiots. Good luck in your research....yes, I mean that! My heart goes out to you and your children.

Well very interesting, first of all why are these unvaccinated kids putting your vaccinated kids at risk? Don't you trust these vaccines? I have a 23yr old that I fully vaccinated because I was young and dumb and beleived the Health System had our best interests at heart but I now know that is not the case. When I had more children I was a little older and wiser and decided to take responsibility for my childrens health instead of been lazy and letting a corrupt system make those decisions for me, I made an informed decision by reading all the information i could get my hands on (pros and cons) and lady I wouldn't vaccinate my dog with that crap let alone put that toxic poison into my children, get off your rear end and look into nutrition, a healthy immune system, healthy person, keep your kids off processed crap food and they will be better for it.

I think idiot is a strong word.....but, common sense says that in order to be a responsible citizen, our children should be immunized. Why should other children suffer due to the negligence of one parent? Example: Measels outbreak- not fun, that's for sure. But, I guess if a family is willing to take a chance, I guess it is their right to do so. Life is all about chances and risk. Our kids have enough issues growing up in today's world- ANOTHER label, such as a wrist band would only make the experience much worse....

NOT ONLY THAT!

Exposing pregnant women to Rubella:

"When rubella occurs in a pregnant woman, it may cause congenital rubella syndrome, with potentially devastating consequences for the developing fetus. Children who are infected with rubella before birth are at risk for growth retardation; mental retardation; malformations of the heart and eyes; deafness; and liver, spleen, and bone marrow problems."

It is the lack of vaccinations in kids with parents who want to be "rebels:" and think they are smarter than the medical network that are going to cause the epidemics of the future~~~ You got your vaccines...give your children the same prevention!!!!!

We had a friend who's mom didn't believe in vaccinations. Our friend finally died after having 5 open heart surgeries. So sad.

This is way to harsh! I think you need to research more before making such statements.

You guessed it correctly. My husband is a big fan of Twilight. He read the book, saw the movie and ate the popcorn. Charles did it all, and did it all, without exception.
