She totally has a valid point --and a sense of humor. I have absolutely thought about how my life would be different --my marriage and my career --had I not chosen the parenthood path. But at the end of the day, for me, I have no regrets.

I think it is hard when you have two people working but there is never a time I would have wished I wouldn't have had my children under any circumstances. I think she has a good point that there are days you wish you had it easier ... didn't have to work, had a nanny, had some freaking help. We have all been there. But my mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer at age 49 ... so at the end of the day I just feel lucky to be around for my kids.

I'm sure there that at some point in every parents life, they look back and wonder who, what and where they might be, if they didn't have children! And if they say other wise, their lying! But with all the issues that accompany having and raising children in this day and age, there is nothing more worth while and fulfilling than seeing their faces and hearing them say, regardless of our short comings as parents, "Mommy I love you," and mean it with all their heart and soul. So if I had the chance to do it all over, I would. Because just having my kids in my life (and the one that didn't make it) for a split second has made me a complete and better person.

Being a parent is hard. The only thing I would have done differently is I would have had mine sooner - maybe 5 years earlier - when I wasn't so old and decrepit.

MamaBates, you could have taken the words right out of my mouth!!! I will admit there are day I do wonder what my life would have been like if I did work. I love my job before we (my husband and I) decided it would be best for our family for me to stay home. We know it was the right decision for us but there are days I do say what if. They one of my kiddos gives me a look and I know I am where I should be.

Yes there are days that I wish I hadn't had my kids but it's only limited to the ages at which I had them. To be a mom at 17 then end up waiting until I was 30 to carry the 2nd one to term and 33 to carry the 3rd.
If I had to do it again, I would have kept turning down my first husband's pleas for sex. I would have sought out my current husband anyway possible and he could have been the father to all of my babies, living or angels.
