New reports have come out indicating that Bernie Madoff's wife Ruth may have been helping to hide the funds he acquired from the $64.8 Ponzi scheme. According to Msnbc.com, new information suggests that Madoff's inner circle "transferred assets to their wives . . . thought to be laundered through an English bank."

Clearly, it was a family affair.

TELL ME: Would you cover up for your husband if he committed a crime? How about your child?

Wow! This is a tough one. I would have to say it depends how bad the crime is. I don't know if I would cover up something big. I would have to be in the moment to make that decision.

How about you, Jenny, what would you do?
takes one to marry one, i guess. so i suppose i'd cover it up, if that were the case.
thankfully, though, it ain't. :)
No and no.

Of course, it's easier said than done.
I agree with Michelle that its easier said that done, but I would not cover for either.
I would absolutely not cover it up. If I found out that the person I was married to was that dishonest, they do not deserve to be married to me and I certainly would not put my future in jeopardy in order to cover it up. That would not be setting a good example for my children, or teach them right from wrong.
They both know better, no and no.
No neither one.I have been there for my son he recently commited a crime. I was in court all during the trial. I go see him reguarly. I assure him to beleive in God.He's not a bad person he just made a mistake. I don't condone what he did,But non the less he is my son and Im there with him no matter what. I will always be there until I can't be any more. I didn't agree with the judge on his sentence and because I was a single mother . They acted as if his up bringing wasn't good enough because His sperm donor wasn't around.I did my best and I raised him to the best of my ability. He was at the age were he could make his own decision. He knows wrong from right. I pray he learns from this and comes out a better man than the man he went in as. god will deleiver him. I know this for sure.
It would really depend on the crime....but yes, easier said than done.
Since my husband and I are partners it would be almost impossible for him to do things without my full knowledge. So I am always his accomplice. For my kids though, I think I would be a shitty Mom if I never let them take responsibility. So, to recap, I am my husbands mole and my kids will curse my name when I call the cops on them.

Would I take a bullet for them, yes! Would I cover up a crime for them, NO! Big difference.
