my grandson has AUTISM and sometimes i just dont understand or know what to do hes only 23years old......seeking advice

It looks like this group has been calm for some time. I'm sure there are moms out there trying to deal with Autism. Whether you've just found out about it or whether you've been dealing with Autism in your family for quite some time, we're all here to help each other and support one another with a "hello" or an "I'm going crazy today, somebody please listen" support is about just listening, talking, friendship, and sharing ideas and tips to get through the day.

Hi Tiffany. Most states have an early intervention program.Try to get your two year old in there as soon as possible. If he is in the program before he turns 4 it is a lot easier to keep his services going through schooldistricts. I don't know wha state you are from but try to find out what the rules are. Also Find out the medicaid rules in your state. As soon as he turns 3 and he is not able to do certain things he might be eligible. It has nothing to do with your income or insurance. Start checking into everything you can. If you do have contact with early intervention they might be able to give you numbers.

GETTING UR SON EVALUATED & STARTING TREATMENTS ASAP IS VERY IMPORTANT I HAVE LEARNERED.MY 4 YR OLD SON IS AUTISTIC & ITS A HANDFULL CARING FOR HIM & MY 4 OTHER KIDS.IM STILL A LIL NEW TO THIS ALSO.JUST TAKE IT 1 DAY AT A TIME STAY STRONG THINGS CAN & WILL GET BETTER WITH TREATMENT.IM SORRY FOR THE PASSING OF UR SON,I CANT IMAGINE WHAT U FEEL OR GO THROUGH AS A PARENT LOSING A CHILD!

I AM A MOTHER OF 3 GRLS AND TWO BOYS . SADLEY HAVE TO SAY MY OLDEST BOY PASS AWAY IN 2006. AND NOW I HAVE THREE GRLS AND ONE BOY. BUT THEY THINK MY 2 YR OLD HAS AUSTISM. SO IM JUST LEARNING ABOUT THIS. CAN ANYONE HELP ME KNOW WHAT IM GOING TO DEAL WITH.. GOD BLESS

about 8 months since i started,
