It seems to me that there are some deeper issues here with eating disorders. I recently had a talk with my daughter about what she really feeling and thinking about, when she does start her binge eating. The main point was very low self asteam. I think many young girls and women alike go through this at some point in their lives. Right now my daughter is a life guard at the Y, and has started college , something she's wanted to do for along time. She feels good about her life and what's going on in it right now. When she feels good about herself and her life, she doesn't binge eat. I guess this is something you constantly have to battle with.

My daughter has had an eating disorder for a few years now. They can be very hard to figure out what is really going on inside. She will go through stages where she'll be ok and exsercise alot until see likes what she see's in the mirror. Then after all that hard work she did for about a month or so , it's like she slips back into the binge eating again and then in no time has put back on a bunch of weight that she had just busted her butt off in takeing off. It's like a crazy cycle that she keeps on repeating 2 to 3 times a year. Some one has got to have more information on why these girls go through this, and what the real reason behind it all is.

Eating Disorders. I have struggled with an eating disorder. My daughter is 15. I watch her not eat and then eat. I just don't know when to say anything. I know there is a fine line in there when saying something will be ok and then when it will only make matters worse. Or is it just that after watching me for years does she have disordered eating?
