Real Stories. Real Advice. Real Moms.

How many of you have a home business? What do you make/sell/do? Jill Hart is a member and queen of working from home. In fact, she's got a cool website at Christian Work at Home Moms.

I'd love to hear about your businesses!

Thanks for the opportunity, Suzie. Love Jill's site! :) I have a writing/speaking business and my husband and I are also new distributors for a cool Christian-owned company called Enlyten. They give part of their proceeds to missions, and manufacture health/wellness products (energy, sleep, vitamins, and electrolytes for now, with more on the way) that get in your system in 2-3 minutes instead of 30, because they're delivered through your cheek/gums. Our website is and I'd love for any of you that are interested to stop by. I can also offer a free week-sample of the energy strips to 8 people if you send me your mailing address. Thanks! :)

I love Jill's site and have been a member for years! :)

I used to be a WAHM but things weren't going so well and I had to return to the working world. I have a dream of turning my hobby of making announcement keepsake gifts and other handmade gifts into a business one day though. Let me know if anyone wants to see an example.

I have a home based candle business. I work mainly online but also do a little retail business. It is alot of fun and I have been earning the extra income that I need. I sell gourmet candles and bath products. I also sell mineral makeup. It's awesome and I can get them both at wholesale. www.candlebusinesscareer.com

I am with Ardyss International and there are tons of moms full time stay at home and or working moms in this business who are doing very well. The company made 4.9 million last month alone. www.ardyss.com is the site to check out. There are physical, mental and spiritual benefits to being a part of this wonderful company and all the people who are in business with you is just a plus. One lady made a check for $86,000 last month.

Hi Moms! My name is Kristie Cain and I am doing a couple of things to keep my sanity while staying at home. I am one of those moms who LOVES and ADORES her kids and staying home with them, AND really needs brain stimulation. My very fabulous friend Emily, who currently lives in Prague, but is coming back to the states this summer to live, invited me to do a podcast with her. We are having a blast! Her website is mommybrainonline.com, and the links to our podcast are iTunes

We would love for you to leave us a positive rating and comment on iTunes. It would greatly help our endeavor. So if you have time, and like our podcast, we would love your help! It would also be great if you could tell friends about the website and podcast. Our goal is to grow the site and podcast to a more professional level to be able to encourage as many moms as we can. Thank you in advance for your help!

Emily's goal is to help us moms not lose ourselves in our "mommyness," and to help us balance ourselves out. She, and we, talk about developing the many parts of ourselves God blessed us with, not just the being a mommy part, or being a wife part (and we completely know and affirm those are two of the best parts God has blessed us with :)

I also sell Cookie Lee jewelry www.cookielee.biz/kristiecain just for fun. I am hoping to go back to school next fall to really gear up my brain!

What do you other moms do to balance yourself while staying at home?

If you would like to be interviewed for Emily's newsletter about how you use your brain for something in addition to being a mommy, contact Emily at emily@mommybrainonline.com

I'm a mother of 3 that loves that I sell Tupperware! Since my husband is in the military and we move a lot, currently we're in Iwakuni, Japan, we need lots of storage solutions and Tupperware is great for that! Also, their cookware is awesome so it allows me to be able to enjoy cooking those large home cooked meals for my family! If you want to check it out or have questions, check out my website. http://my2.tupperware.com/tup-html/E/erchilson-welcome.html

I've just launched MomAudience.com, a marketplace for moms. MomAudience.com sends out a weekly email where moms can connect with other moms, mompreneurs, and mom-appealing businesses.

Free listings allow you to showcase your blog, business, product, event, giveaway, contest, - whatever! And your information is going to your target audience - moms! Each time you have something new, list again.

For maximum exposure,
- go to MomAudience.com,
- list your information
- subscribe (so you can see your listing and see other listings)
- pick up a MomAudience.com button
- blog, tweet, etc. about MomAudience.com and encourage your friends/networks to do the above!

Hope to see you on our MomAudience.com email soon!

First of all, thank you, Suzie, for this opportunity! You are an amazing person and I love reading your blogs. It is an absolute privilege to call you family.

Ok, I work a full-time job and do some crafty things on the side. I sell my creations on Etsy at www.bowlover.etsy.com. I make hair bows of all shapes, colors and sizes for those little princesses in our lives. I have also recently started selling diaper cakes and bow holders. Although I don't sell a ton, it's enough to keep me busy. I do this mostly for my 7-month-old daughter, who can never have enough bows :)

Thanks!!
