This is a Christmas story with my oldest, now 11. We were out and about a few nights in a row, when she was about 3, so I would drive different ways through the neighborhood so she could look at lights. The first night she asked me what color the clear was, I said clear or white. She said not yellow. Well it got to be game of us "arguing" over what color they were. So the last night she asked about the color again and I said white and she said "they are YELLOW can you say Y E L L O W". We still laugh about that every Christmas.

Thank you for the opportunity to share stories about our kids Suzanne!

This is my daughter's (now 15) favorite story about herself. We were in Costco, she is just two, sitting in the "big part" (grocery part) of the Costco cart looking at a book from Costco, while humming the Sound of Music tune "Doe, a Deer." (She was very articulate at two as you will see.) I am browsing the books and get an itch on my back. I contort myself to try to alleviate the itch when Briana sees what I am doing and asks, "Mommy, what are you doing?" "I have an itch," I reply in a strained voice, still trying to itch that darn inconvenient irriation. Briana goes back to looking at her book, this time singing the song she was humming, but with new words, "You have an itch, a female itch." I died! I looked around for someone to share this hilarious moment with, to find no one, so enjoyed it numerous times by myself and with others ever since. Miraculously, the itch went away!

I guess one of the sweetest memories I have is of my youngest, who is about to be 5. When he was just a tiny baby, as I held him in my arms feeding him, he would reach up with that itty bitty hand and stroke my hair. He continued to do so, even as he grew. He surprised me a few weeks ago when I had picked him up because he got hurt somehow, and he started playing with my hair again. So sweet!!

Thanks for the giveaways, Suzie (and all the other sponsors!). Just in time for Mother's Day!!!

My favorite memory is when my baby girl smiled for the first time! She was playing with her daddy. :)

My favorite memory is when I gave birth to my first daughter and my husband said, "Now everyday will be like Christmas," when he first held her. (She was born in December)

share one of your favorite memories of your child

I remember one time we had a search party scour the neighbor looking for my daughter. I was so afraid she had been kidnapped. She was noplace to be found. We were going to call the cops after we couldn't find her then I went back inside to check the house one more time. I found her curled up asleep in her bed. I was so happy I screamed and cried and sqeezed her tight

I love when I pick up my very sleepy two-year old and she pats me on the back. I take this as her way of saying, good job mom!
