You know, we all live in such a go,go,go society, it's unreal! Taking time for ourselves is so difficult, but it should not be. We do need to say that little word, "No" at times. As a Mom who has had to learn to overcome some physical changes, my body tells me when it is time to say, "NO." It has not always been that way! I have gotten smarter, as I used to run the rat race- NO more!

I have personally found the solution, and it wasn't a nice one. Getting a staph infection that required iv antibiotics for what became 12 weeks, and sitting in the hospital for two of those weeks.....that'll slow you down fast! SO:
Eat right, especially breakfast. Go to bed when the kids do if you need to. the laundry and housekeeping can wait. Trust me on this one, the house is still a mess because I can't use my arm, and the kids are ok. Prioritize ruthlessly, if it doesn't need to happen today, it doesn't happen today. Ask for help. Your Christian sisters are out there, wanting to help. Even if its picking up some frozen dinners for you. Or my personal fave: taking your kids to the park for a long run so that you can sit down or even nap.
Start each day with God. And take your vitamins.
God Bless

Over the years I have learned to scheduled "Me Time". Some days it gets pushed back or even moved up...depending on how the day flows. Yesturday I left work on time, went out to my car in the parking garage, took out my "Any Minute" book, and read for about an hour! Next time I will remember to silence the cell phone. Other than a breif interuption by one of my 5 girls, it was my time. When my girls were in school & sports, I didn't think I would ever have "Free Me Time", but you have to squeeze it in! My day starts at 3 am and ends between 9-10pm. There is at least an hour scheduled each day for myself, for reading, computer play time or even a walk-about. God & Family are first and foremost...but if you don't take little time for yourself...you Will burn out. Be Blessed!

OH! I should have remembered that part! ALWAYS FIND THE HUMOUR IN THINGS. It keeps you going. But I will accept, with thanks, the DVD! :-)

Eat right, drink LOTS of water and exercise. It seems counterproductive to workout when you're tired but it really does wake you up!

Everyone does it, right? We diss on our best buds, tell tales out of school. When we're asked to keep a secret, we cross our hearts, hope to die . . . Instead we spill our guts. I've always been a social animal. In the human jungle, gossip i...
