Hello everyone!!!
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Emily. I am a wife and mother of 5 years old twins, Ian and Ireland who are in kindergarten this year and doing big things!! My husband is Charlie, he works for a biohazard clean up company (Hazmat). I have always been a Christian and grew up in church although like others I find is not always easy to be a Christian. I love to read so much that my husband syas if the currency hcanged to books then we would be rich!! I especially like reading christian fiction set during the old west. Something about the 1800's that appeals to me. I hope to make many new friends and know I will enjoy getting to know everyone. God bless!! -Em

I finally finished reading the book (on my treadmill). I liked the book even though I did get alittle bored in the middle. I'm not sure on how to give a review, but I would recommend this book to my father in law because I know he enjoys books like this.

I ditto Laura and Sarah's comments. I forced myself to read this---actually finished it a long time ago to get it "out of the way." I love to read more than anything, but I didn't love reading this. Especially whent time is precious and there are so many worthy reads out there. But I even hate saying this because it makes me sound like an ingrate! : )

Hey! Does anyone know what book we will be reading next? Curious. :)

I found this book disturbing on many levels. But not for the reasons you might think. I was actually intrigued by the author making the Christian character out to be the bad guy, and even implying he was psychotic. I actually enjoyed watching the story reveal itself from that point of view. Interesting, compared to other novels in this genre. The disturbing part for me was more that the ending seemed crammed in there, like a last minute thought. The beginning of the book was so planned, slow moving at times as every detail was made clear. Then, BANG...all of the sudden we wrap up everything in a weird, neat little package to end the story. It felt forced to me. Like an afterthought. And the point of view was confusing to me at times. That made it hard for me to read. I had to keep reminding myself that the main character was not the one talking. I think the story line was good, but it wasn't carried out well. Ready to move on... :)

Hello all! Sorry I've been incognito lately, I took a very intense class and barely saw the light of day. :) Welcome to all our new members!! Our group is growing and growing! That's great! I just wanted to encourage everyone to keep up on reading and posting in the discussions.

Thank you so much for your participation!
