I have lost 10 pounds in five weeks so far I am feeling alot healthier and more active I am exercising but not like I want to. I am going to pick it up I just feels very nice to feel good at the end of the day.

Have now lost 9 of the 20 pounds. Six weeks down. Taking it slow, but working out an hour five days a week. Eating healthy and fueling body with good food. It's been exciting to see it chip away.

Lost 5 pounds in January. 10 more to go to hit my goal weight. Have kept to my resolve to work out five days a week for one hour. Yay!

Cool! I have lost an inch and a half around the waist on day 4 of Dr Tom's Metabolic Boot Camp! Gotta make it to day 7. Feeling great though!

Sticking to my resolutions. Working out five days a week - 45 minutes each time. Have I lost weight? No, but I feel discipline falling into place. : ) I feel good after I exercise, and I no longer want to bat the alarm clock when it goes off at 6:30 (as a freelancer I haven't woke up to an alarm clock for a very long time).

I created a chart with reasonable goals. I don't weigh, but once a week. I don't sweat it if it's a special event and I have a piece of cake. Love this group and the tips and recipes and encouragement!

I wanted to let the group know about a dietary supplement that has helped me to lose fat and build lean muscle since I started taking it one year ago. It’s called CLA Tonalin. I take three pills every morning (which is what the GNC salesperson recommended) and believe that it and exercising five times a week has done a lot to help me to flatten my stomach and find the muscles in my legs. The quotes that I found most encouraging are:

“CLA is a metabolically active compound that has been demonstrated to dramatically reduce body fat and increase lean body tissue.”

“In the early 1980s, a noted doctor, Michael Pariza, working at the University of Wisconsin and his colleagues discovered that CLA interfered with the growth of cancer tumors. Since then, a number of other studies have further shown CLA's cancer-fighting potential.”

“CLA is the only known nutrient that enhances the immune system”

Note: GNC sells two kinds of CLA (GNC Thermo CLA and GNC Tonalin CLA). I don’t like the Thermo CLA because it contains caffeine and green tea extracts to increase your heart rate/metabolism. The Tonalin CLA is not a stimulant and has none of those effects. I don’t even notice that I’ve taken it as I go about my day.
