What's your favorite park?
It's getting to be my favorite time of year - fall! Although come springtime, I'll be saying THAT'S my favorite time of year. I love being outside with my kids in September and October! We have so many absolutely perfect fall days, with 75 degree weather and a light breeze - ahhhh. Perfect park weather. I'm actually a finicky mother who RARELY takes the kids to the park in the summertime. It's just too hot and miserable! But fall and spring, I am totally there.
Last year at this time, we discovered Stapleton Central Park. Such an AWESOME place for kids, particularly those with sensory issues. It's full of kinetic gadgets that spin around when kids hang from them, and soft, textured rubber hills for kids to run up and down. There are also lots of shady spots, plenty of seating for picnics, and in warm weather, there's a fountain for kids to play in.
Where do YOU like to take your kids when the weather is nice?

We like Wash Park (Washington Park) in Denver. There is a little kids playground to the south of the Big Kids Playground. The little kids playground is shady all the time - great in peak summer heat. There are 2 kid swings and 1 big one. Two boingy things and a playset with two slides, cargo net for climbing, tunnel, and some other stuff. The playground is set in sand - perfect for digging - bring your shovel and bucket. Typically not too crowded. The Stapleton park looks great!
