Hi Lori! Where do you live? We drove out to Haxtun many years ago to pick up a boxer puppy. Lots of little bitty towns out east!

Hi everyone, My husband and I are in Broomfield. We adopted our first daughter from Kazakhstan when she was 10 months old - she is 5 now. A few months after bringing her home I found out I was pg with identical twin daughters - age 3 now. The twins just started preschool 3 days a week so I'm loving a few hours of me time while they're all at school - yay! I'm new to the whole social network concept but it looks fun and sounds like you all have some great ideas to share. :)

Hub and I live in Lakewood with 4 of our kids, one is grown and gone! But, he has made me a Granny, so I am ok! ! We have a busy house of tots and teens ! Looking forward to being part of the group!

Laura, Hi, thanks for the "education". You have a beautiful family, with 5 kids you and your husband must be very BUSY. We've been here about 6 yrs. I am from the East Coast, so I miss the beach and ocean. But the mountains are beautiful. We don't do much in the mountains, but swim a lot in the summer. I am looking forward to being in the group. Hey Christina!

I'm not sure about the Douglas County school system. We're brand new to the Cherry Creek district, and most of the elementary schools are on a year round, 4 track schedule. Our kids "track on" for about 9 weeks, and then "track off" for 3 weeks, throughout the year. I really love it so far. We have a child with autism, and it's important for him to remain in school mode as much as possible. Summer always ends up being a stressful time for him and for all of us in the family, because we get so out of our routine. I'll admit, it was weird starting school the week after the 4th of July, but I think we're going to like the breaks!

Hi, I am new to the school system here in CO. I grew up with traditional school system Sept-June. How do this track system work. I see that your child goes year round. I live in Douglas County. any suggestions/recommendations? Chris
