The term appears to have been coined by Canadian website Cougardate.com and has been used in TV series, advertising and film. The 2007 film Cougar Club was dedicated to the subject and in Spring 2009 TV Land aired a reality show called The Cougar. A new show called Cougar Town, explores the difficulty and stigma of many so-called "Cougars".

The cougar is on the prowl and is there anything wrong with it?

To me a Cougar is an animal that Protects their young. The Term Cougar for a woman is a Woman that Preys on younger men for sex.

Now , speaking for me its all about chemistry as far as a man who is younger than me. I am 41 and would NEVER EVER Date anyone thats 18 or 19 because I have a daughter thats 18 so in my mind thats like dating my own child. its all about connection Sex Comes later IF it happens to go that route.

In Some cases Older women are looking for a man with Stamina while others are looking for some attention that they may not be getting at home.
