Tell us your healthy diet secrets and you'll be entered to win!
My healthy diet secrets are not really secrets. Everyone knows that the best way to lose weight is to EAT. Not eating will leave your body craving food, so that when you finally decide to eat, it will attack every ounce of fat you consume. This is not healthy at all.
One thing that always helps me is when I've realized I've gained a few, I cut out wine and stop eating past 7pm. A walk every evening and I am usually back on track. ;-)
It's simple and it works!
my best secrets are to not graze on junk food-that is my downfall. also, I've found that if I'm hungry late at night it really means I'm tired and my body is looking for a pick-me-up
No real "secrets" here - just little bits of what I've learned in different places and what has worked for me...although I'm still a work in progress. Eat small - 300 calories or less - meals throughout the day...don't allow yourself to get really hungry...add protein and eat multi-grain or complex carbs...exercise! (I started with Wii Fit...now I'm jogging...the first time in twenty five years!!! I just quit smoking in June of 2008). I'm going to add vitamins though...I think I need them.
I have no real "secrets"... I just try to eat right and walk my dogs and kids around the block several times a day. I work in the ER, so even though I am a Nurse, it doesn't mean I don't eat junk food when I am working and have no time for a rel meal. I have gained 30lbs, and am in the process (slowly) of trying to lose it. I owuld be thrilled to win this contest prize. Thanks for the chance. I also drink lots of water. madly59
My healthy diet secreat is to always eat breakfast and eat what your body wants. If it is asking for ice cream give it ice cream just moderate. Portion control is the key.
This isn't really a secret, but I still have to remind myself of it everyday... stop drinking sugary drinks and drink lots of water. Alot of the time that you think you're hungry, you're really thirsty. Also if you're a chocoholic like me eat dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate. It's better for you.
Keonte' is right, of course, but when you are sick/disabled, and cannot be as active as you like, it does hurt your dieting plans. I try to eat smaller meals, but I still don't seem to burn off as many calories as I would like!
BUT I am NOT going to give-up!
Healthy diet secrets...HMMMM... the ones I know of or the ones I practice? The ones I practice is short list and why I REALLY COULD USE THE NUTRISYSTEM FOOD, LOL
The ones I practice:
Use the stairs, and just reacently, no eating after 7:30, drink water and eat fruit.
The ones I know of:
EXCERSIZE, EXCERSIZE at least 15 mins a day,
Eat small portions and have mid day snacks of veggies and fruits, to get you thru the day
When eating out, ask for a 'doggie bag' right when you get a meal, cut your meal in half and get two meals for the price of one. Lots of places are offering healthy sides, even the fast food places. Last but not least do not punish yourself and deny yourself chocolate or sweets, just keep it in moderation!
I am the biggest fan because when I first started reading Twilight I fell in love with all of the characters. Twilight was more than just a novel for teenagers about falling head over heals in love. The Twilight Saga was and is about unconditional...
