PRESENTS FROM MIL - THE BEST AND THE WORST.
A friend received a bag of hotel shampoos after a 2 week trip to Europe. Good or bad?
Another friend received from her MIL a bag of free match books from restaurants. Don't be too quick to judge. My friend collects match books, and she was grateful to her MIL for bringing new additions to her collection.

My MIL gave me a white lace teddy at my bridal shower in front of my grandmother, mother, aunts, cousins, all the ladies on his sdie of the family and then of course my friends... awkward. She then proceeded to tell me that you know you've had a good time when your panties stick to the ceiling... even more awkward!!! I love my MIL but she is a bit more "free" with this type of talk than I woudl be especially in such mixed circles. She has also since then purchsed thongs and crotchless panties for my husband to give to me for birthdays etc, the hilarious part is that he gives them to me and says "here my mom got these for you" so he isn't tryign to keep up her illusion. Oh well, gotta love them!!! :)
The best present that she has given me is a membership to the local zoo. It's a about 30 minutes away and is a perfect day trip for my 2 1/2 year old and I. We love the zoo and I make sure to amke a HUGE deal about how great this gift is becuase it really si the perfect gift for us!
I make my MIL and Mother a scrapbook each year for mother's day highlighting the different activities that my DD has been involved in and try to focus the pics on presents that each grandma bought her or activtiies done with each grandma as an additonal way to show appreciation for the time and the gifts.
