It's almost that time of year again -- back to school! Send your kids back with Skype and keep them calling home.
We're giving 20 winners two Skype Starter Kits (valued at $15 each) to keep you and your child connected. Skype is free software that lets you use the internet to talk with anyone, anywhere in the world. Now, you can even use Skype from select mobile phones.
With the Skype Starter Kit, you’ll receive a headset with microphone and voucher for up to 30 minutes of free calls* to landlines and cell phones, after simply downloading Skype for free at www.skype.com.
*The voucher for free calling minutes is based on the SkypeOut Global Rate of 2.1 cent per minute. Higher rates may apply to other destinations. A connection fee applies.
Skype is starting to become popular mainstream. It is always used on the "Oprah" show. I have a son that will be leaving for college and it sure is hard to get in touch with him being a young adult in the college "scene". using Skype would be another way to get in touch with him and be a "cool" mom.
I have not Skyped before but I think it is a great idea.
We have virtually no family close by and if i had Skype than my son would be able to talk to Grandparents and they could see how he is growing and more of his personality than just a phone call.
I think it is a great way to keep the family connected.

I was turned on to Skype when a friend teaching in Japan kept missing me at home. She encouraged me to get Skype to we could chat and talk. It was as clear as if she were in the other room.
My sister has two kids going away to college in two different locations. Now I'm the one pushing Skype and this is exactly what I need to persuade her. I think she'll be addicted to Skype right along with the rest of us.
My son is going to school in Montreal..I so need these to be able to talk with him without it costing us an arm and a leg. Please...let me win. thanks.
