Don't let the fact that Earth Day is behind us and school is winding down deter you from your good REUSING habits you have worked so hard to achieve.

Hi. I just joined this group b/c I love to recycle. It is an extention of what my grandma used to say. "waste not, want not". Last school year a friend of mine asked for help starting up earth club at our children's elementary school. It was very meaningful. She organized each class to have the children decorate a newspaper page. We sang as they all lined up to cover the roots of the new tree we were planting. They dipped the newspaper into water and patted it down on the roots. It is a japenese maple and so beautiful. Earth Club also collects cans for recycling. The mothers take turns with making sure the tree has water.

For many schools, Halloween kicks off the 1st Classroom Party for the new school year. Signups are posted and the party planning is under way, thanks to all the parent and PTA involvement. Who is bringing the paper products? Let Kids Konserve help you keep the trash out of the bash with our Party Pak. Kids Konserve has parties in the Bag!

I use my party pak at my son's school and the homeroom parent and I share the duty. Instead of buying paper products each time (the cost adds up!), I bring the party pak, the kids put them in the recycling box after the party, I bring it home to put in the dishwasher and it is ready for the next party! Even the teacher has commented how nice it is to not have overflowing garbage cans after each classroom party!

Let Halloween kick off the first eco-friendly classroom party by having an Eek-o-Halloween!

Good morning! I am new to Go Green and I would like to meet new people and learn ways to help my family go green! We already switched our laundry detergant and household cleaners to "greener" products. I use cloth diapers on my son and use a clothes line.....any more ideas?
