I will be celebrating Earth Day by planting a tree in our back yard. I feel that it is a contribution to our world; our kids future!!!

- I homeschool and we always do a project. Like planting seeds or plants, birdwatching and science experiments related to earth day. We have a very nice compost going. I read books outloud, while we sit outside and enjoy the day. Have a great earth day!!! and Everyday!!

This month, as a dedication to Earth Month, I have reviewed many green products in honor of it. Please come by my blog:www.mommasinthehouse.com to read up on those products. A lot of them have to do with lunch related items because a lot of plastic ziplock bags, etc are going to our landfills and as parents we can do our part by using resusable lunch products.

I belong to our town's garden club. Every year, we gather our members and their family members and work at the local watershed and plant trees in various parks in our town! This is the way my family will be celebrating Earth Day 2009!

We are avid recyclers, shop garage sales and thrift stores before buying new and always use cloth shopping bags. We have never planted a garden before and all 5 of us are super excited about beginning a new "Earth Friendly" adventure as a family! HAPPY EARTH DAY 2009!
