Products that make parenting easier - My baby backpack is great! Aside from the obvious uses, when she was really little I would use it while cooking dinner when she was fussy and just wanted to be held.
My favorite things to do in LA have been things I have grown up doing. Traditions I am now passing down to my children.
1. Dim Sum in China Town on Sundays- China Town is wonderful for dining and shopping!! My young children love looking in all of the different shops and eating yummy Chinese food!
2. Paradise Cove in Malibu-A wonderful private beach that is great for families. It is expensive to park there but if you eat at the restaurant located on the beach, they will validate!!! Dolphins are always there when we visit!!
3. Underwood Farms in Moorpark- Great Farm!!! Pick your own fruits and vegetables or buy from the stand... There is a petting zoo, pony rides , a HUGE haystack and playground!
4. The Grove in Beverly Hills- Fun for the family or on a date. Shopping, water fountain show, trolley rides...even a movie theatre!!
5. Tiki Ti in Silver Lake-Great please for rum drinks!!!! Really small but worth it!!! Some of the drinks come with chanting patrons!!!! Toro!!!!!!
In regards to top products I can't live without.....
1. The Snack Trap-Its a two handle cup with a plastic lid that kids can push their fingers in to get little snacks such as cheerios without spilling!!
2. Triple Paste! -Scares off diaper rashes after using it the first signs of a rash.
We love the Aquarium of the Pacific-
I love that kids can run around, and be educated, and have an interactive experience all in the same place. It is great for ALL ages. Infants are wowed by the giant fish tanks and the older ones can't get enough of everything. Then just head out and walk around the area outside for fun to see boats. or have a picnic.
La Brea tar pits- Our kids like it and always have fun!
My favorite gadget:
Patem Pad diaper changing pad.
It is round, with room so you not trying to keep a wiggly baby on a little strip to change a diaper. It has lots of pockets to keep you stuff in, diapers, diaper cream etc. The best part is you just fold it up and that is all you need!! It is really like having a mini diaper bag and pad all in one place. Also, the patterns are so incredibly amazing and sophisticated!
1. The beach year round
2. Ice Skating outdoors at The Lakes in Thousand Oaks
3. Falcon Theatre in Burbank...GREAT shows for families
4. Santa Barbara Zoo
5. Dinner at the beach at Geoffrey's in Malibu
Mommy and Me movies at the Grove
The Original Farmer's Market
Friday Night Jazz at LACMA (outdoors and plenty of room for little ones to run around. Plus FREE)
Los Angeles ZOO!
El Capitan Theater!
We're relatively new here (and we LOVE it), but here goes for my favorite things about LA (so far):
1. The hike up to the Hollywood sign at the end of Beechwood.
2. Malibu and some of the Ventura Beaches.
3. The drive up and down Topanga Canyon from the 101, ending with a gorgeous view of the Pacific.
4. Pepperdine's campus. We love the deer meandering through, some of the greenest grass in LA, and the view of the Pacific.
5. The Grove/Farmer's Market
1. Pasadena Farmers Market bright and early Saturday morning
2. Exploring new restaurants in Downtown LA.
3. Amy's Playground in South Pasadena
4. For date night, dinner at The Bazaar at the SLS Hotel
5. Massage at Pho Siam
Products I can't live without:
1. Snack Trap snack cups

3. Freeze dried fruit from Costco
Farmer's Markets! They are so great for fresh fruit and vegetables at great prices...and a few of them have some really great kid activities - from bouncy houses and slides to petting zoos and horse rides! Very family friendly and community oriented.
