I have two.. Ellen Degenorus and Sharon Ozbourn because they both do so much to support the
fight and to raise money and awareness for breast Cancer!! However every woman that cancer has touched in any way
is a hero!!!
Easy. My step-mom. True story: She had a mammogram earlier this year, but during a self exam a few months later she discovered an unusual lump. She immediately scheduled for more testing and found out she was already at stage 2. She had a lumpectomy and radiation last month. Had it not been for her self-exam awareness, she might have found it so early.
And yes, if I won the scarf, it would certainly be gifted to her. Thanks.
We have such a fascination for celebrities that even the mainstream news gets fixated on reporting absurd details. That said I have to express great appreciation for those celebrities who step forward to promote awareness and research. Sharon Osbourne educated and convinced many to selfcheck and get medical care earlier because she shared and told it like it was.
My grandma. 40 yeas ago, she went in for exploratory surgery -- and woke up to a radical masectomy. She raised us everyday to love our bodies and to focus on the gift of each day.
On a side note... I'd love to win this for my good friend, who is currently waging her own cancer battle. She could use a little more beauty in her daily life...
My breast cancer hero is all the breast cancer patients I have met and worked with. They are every race, color, ethnicity and they share one common thread :they are strong women. They may be young or old, scared or brave. They all face a frightening obstacle to overcome and they all do it with grace and strength. They continue to amaze and humble me. If I ever face the trials they have I can only hope to have a shred of the power and bravery they exhibit!
That would be Christina Applegate for me. She's been really brave and showed that you can still have a wonderful life after a double mastectomy. I find her very inspirational.
i was up in canada at parents weekend for my son without a computer. but would love to be considered. my mother passed away from breast cancer 21 years ago. a day doesn't go by that i don't miss her.
My AUNT ELEANOR , she passed away from breast cancer, but her love, her fight and her ability to leave us with a a better understanding of how to care for ourselves, breast self check exams, are so importmant-the first step in prevention. I am sure to follow her hard earned advice each month now, and to tell others.
She is my HERO!
I do not have anyone close to me that has fought breast cancer and I am so grateful for that. All women who have fought breast cancer are my hero. I can't imagine the battle they have fought and continue to fight. They are truly so brave.
My husband and I own and operate a variety entertainment company. Lately it's been really slow and we are struggling harder than usual. We are expecting another child this coming April and we have a 4 yr old whom we love with all our being. Go to ...
Brings to mind a childhood memory of watching it on the big screen at the Alabama Theatre. Thanks!!
I would love to have this one in my home collection.
Everyone does it, right? We diss on our best buds, tell tales out of school.
When we're asked to keep a secret, we cross our hearts, hope to die . . .
Instead we spill our guts.
I've always been a social animal. In the human jungle, gossip i...
I read GWTW 13 times before I was 15. It was like a Bible to me... I have SO many favorite scenes. But to me you can feel the heat every time Scarlett and Rhett are on the same page. That first scene where she wakes him up in the Wilkes' study, th...
