I am currently a WAHM to 4 girls, a 3 yr. old and 15 month triplets. I am working on getting my PhD in communication, but all to often life is getting in the way. I want to really focus and get my degree done.
Although I was laid off in January throughout the entire time I have done my best to stay positive for everyone around me. Because of financial constraints I am going to get something more late nightish so we only have to pay for one day of daycare and come March 2010 I will be going back to school to pursue a career in the health sciences doing bloodwork and hopefully by May 2017 I will be a nurse. I set these goals so that those around me know what I want to do and so that I can set reasonable minigoals in the process.
I want to begin eating healthier and excersising more so i can have more energy and feel better about myself,i am also going back to school this semester to get my degree.
I want to stop worrying about the little things that I am not in control. My life would be a lot calmer if I focused on both the positives in my life (because there are many) and worry about things I can control :)
I think learning to let go may be a positive change I am so overprotective that I worry about everything. Also eating healthier & exercising would be good ;)
I am an Environmental Engineer by profession and a new mom too...so I am in a big break from my career at this point, Wish I get Back to my Career soon Serve our country, and make my dreams of my Mom true...
I am currently trying to balance a full-time job and online store, and a blog along with a family and husband. I need to focus on my business so I can leave my job and spend more time with the family.
I need to learn to take better care of me. I'm so busy doing for everyone else (and when I can't do it all feeling guilty) that I am running out of steam and energy. I need to learn to delegate to my teens, and make it stick, so I am not doing it all. I thought that was what I was supp to be doing - doing it all. But that's not right, and I need to not feel guilty about taking some time out for me. to recharge, re-energize. I've gotten so lost in being a "mom" (which is all I wanted to be growing up) I don't know "who I am" now. So many dreams and things I used to enjoy... I guess I feel a little lost outside the mom realm of things.
With god as my witness, I will never eat dirt again!
LOVE aunt Pittypat. Here's some trivia - this movie is the only popular Civil War movie without a single battle scene.
I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing.
