My daughter gets stressed easily because she wants to try to do so many things but there isn't enough time to do them. She has a heavy homework load now that she is in a girl's high school academy. They offer weekend events often free of charge to students. Our requirement is that all of her homework be done on Friday so that she can rest on Sunday, if the activity is on Saturday for instance. She has been having to work on homework for 3-4 hours per day and staying up until 1130 which is too late, to get done. She is very social and likes to go places with her friends. Her friends have changed this year to all new ones. She still needs us to help her say no when she needs to rest or has things to do.
I personally think you should allow her to have Friday's off? or maybe..why couldnt she do homework on Sunday afternoon. Or at least break it up over the weekend. I mean if she is stressing she needs an outlet and if there is something for her to do for fun then that could help. Just have a consequence if her 3-4hr hw load isnt done by Sunday then then the following event wont happen or something like that. My 15DD doesnt do hw on Friday unless she is excited about the assignment. She makes a schedule for her weekend that includes hw, fun etc etc. I hope you get some insight. I know it can be stressful for us too. Take care
It is so hard to pick out a favorite part of Gone With the Wind. I think at the dance when Scarlett has been widowed and is dancing under the table is great though and then Rhett bids on her to dance with him and the crowd is in shock!
