It's honestly his choice. I know during the first two he decided against it, he did when our first daughter was born and regretted that decision. The last time i don't know if he looked or not i was so out of it wasn't paying attention, this time who knows!

first time was a c/s (breech baby) and he did NOT want to look! Either way is fine with me though - we'll have to see this time around!

I have no problems with it. But knowing my queasy husband, he won't!

After having four kids I'm pretty used to having all kinds of people "down there" but even though my husband is welcome to watch he is not interested at all. I don't blame him!

It's entirely up to him. I don't mind either way.

Unfortunately, my husband didn't have a choice.
With our first son, my husband had to be right in on
the action to help me push. While doing so, he had
a birds eye view, that he tries to erase from his mind,
but has not been able to.

Hopefully he can position himself better this time around
to help, but not have to look.

Absolutely, he helped start the project! haha

but he said no. I'm forcing him to be in the hospital as it is. My family will be the enforcers. rofl

Totally up to him. I know I really won't be concentrating on where he's looking at that point. He said he wouldn't with #1 but he did once he realized the head was coming and wanted to see it step by step.

I don't think he wants to - we're planning a c-section and I'm pretty sure he'll stay "behind the curtain" with me.

My hubby has for both..it is a wonderful thing to be able to see that. His 1s time weirded him out a bit but he was very glad that he did. He will for this one too!!

I've found a very diverse group of answers to this question. I've had some very very modest pts, who wouldn't allow their partner to look there during delivery, I have had some that were the complete opposite, with multiple people in the room during checks and birth. I leave it up to the patient, but she is the one in control!

My husband has been there for the other two births and had a front row seat. So, it really doesn't matter what he sees. =) In fact, my mother is always present, and my mother in law was present with the first one.
