My boyfriend and I met on a semi-blind date. The picture he sent me online was really fuzzy and I couldn't make out many of his features. LOL...so it was blind on my side! Turns out he was adorable and we've been together for 7years now! Thinking about engagement so this is perfect for us!
My best blind date was the one that landed me in a happy relationship! :) That was my last one... we have our ups and downs but mainly it is wonderful to have someone to lean on.
My guy and I were set up by our best friends. His guy friend and my girl friend were dating and thought we would be a good match. He wasn't really up for it and I begged her not to set anything up, so one day they tricked us and called us on a three way call and put their phone down. We talked for hours that day and met up shortly after. We knew we liked each other but we remained friends for 3 years before we oficially started dating. We've been together for 6 years now.
Ugh, is there ever really a "best" blind date story? LOL I had a friend who wanted me to meet this guy that was like a best friend to her. Okay. I was sort of scared of him though once I met him because she neglected to mention the giant scar across his throat. It wasn't that he had the scar itself, it was why he had it. He was not a good person at all! So that didn't work out.
the guy cried during les mis and blew his nose in a cloth napkins. aaaaaaaahhhhh
Ha. My best one had a phobia about people touching his hair- turns out it was carefully arranged to hide his bald spot. I didn't mind the baldness- the neurosis was much more of a turn off!
HAHAHA this is a fun contest!
My funniest blind date story is the ONLY blind date I ever went on (mainly because this one went so badly for me.) It was in the 80's and the era of pretty boy, long hair rock bands, which I loved at the time. I was about 16-17. My older cousin liked this one guy in this basement band, and she wanted to go watch them rehearse but she wanted me to come with her. She asked him if there were any other single good looking guys in the band that she could set up with her cousin. (She and I were both in modeling at that age.) He said yes, the main guitarist. So when we arrived, and walked in, they were in a middle of a song and the guitarist had pretty long brown hair and a nice body and was doing a great job playing, he was slightly bent over flipping his hair around like they did and so we couldnt' see his face, but my cousin and I both giggled to one another and gave eachother a look to show we both approved so far. THEN the song ended and he stood up and facing forward he was very very unattractive. I feel guilty for saying that, but his eyes were sooooo close together and he had one of the biggest noses I've ever seen. I gave my cousin another DIFFERENT look this time and she looked surprised too and she was kind enough to make an excuse and get me out of there before I got put on the spot. lol

PS I COULD REALLY USE THIS BOOK.. I have FIVE TEENAGERS and 2 - SOMETHINGS and 3 are in SERIOUS RELATIONSHIPS with people we actually approve of BUT I THINK THIS WOULD BE AN IMPORTANT BOOK FOR ALL OF THEM TO READ!
I was set up on a blind date with a friend of my niece's boyfriend. He looked okay at the time. Anyway, we went to a movie and he did not pay for my ticket. I ended up paying for my own and he paid for his own. I didn't like that and another thing was that he didn't say much at our dinner date. That was the end of that.
My blind date was to the prom. It was really awkward because I felt like the guy was trapped into the date. I was quite rude and altogether unpleasant. Awful really!
I've never went on a blind date, I wished I had so I had a story to tell.
I married my blind date :)
I had a blind date and he never showed and it just happened that some of my friends were at that restaurant and we all had dinner together and had a ball!
