Oh hello delicious soft organic sheets! Going to bed at the same time every night helps establish a routine. Eating dinner early, watching television, a bath and reading while laying in bed helps the evening wind down before going to bed.

My dd is 10 now, but we still use a routine. It just seems to calm her and let her know that it's bedtime. We've done that since she was an infant, but with a lot of changes in the routine itself of course.
