Since we live in Chicago we don't get warm weather for very long so we play board games, guitar hero, rock band, disney bingo on dvd, watch movies and listen to music. We like to try and spend time with each other and my son has a few friends that come over because their parents are usually working until late in the evening so we have lots of fun!

I have all boys so they have ALOT of energy to burn-espically during the winter!! Their favorite game is building two forts in different rooms in our home and then playing "war".

When it's cold outside we bake cookies or cakes. Pop popcorn and watch movies. Do puzzles or draw. Play games together or put on little skits and sing songs.
Lately we've gotten into Uno. It's a good way to connect with the kids because they love the game and it helps us to have fun together. So when it's cold, we'll play a game of Uno, bake some cookies or turn off all the lights and watch a flick.
