No doubt, Kate... I wrote about that in Chapter I. I never understood it. Question: Why is it always "their" team? Did they buy/join it?

LOL! I live in the Boston area so right now EVERY team is playing..literally..so he is such a wreck! and every team is always phrased as "we sold so and so", "we missed it by a basket", "how did we not make that shot on the open net powerplay"...my husband certainly isnt on the celtics, or the red sox, or the bruins but i guess he associates them with him so it becomes we. I have lived with this my whole life---my dad AND brother both do this too! needless to say Sunday dinner at mom's is always a "we" fest especially if theres a big game...drives me nuts!

We totally understand. ;)

And... can we talk about the "allowed" patting-off-asses on the field vs. homophobia (Freud would have had a FIELD DAY on that!)

They seem to always just think of themselves. So if i could change one thing it would be for them not to be so self centered.

I wish they wouldn't totally tune out whenever sports are on!

LOL. I've always wondered why that's so accepted but then the same men who do this really do portray themselves as being homophobes. I don't get it in the least! I'm just glad that we have girls and although someday there will prolly be a little guy running around trying to be like daddy at least for the time being I can outnumber him and what we want to watch almost always beats him...except for now....

I often will actually quiz my husband 20mins later on what we were talking about or what I said. Caught him offguard at first but now he tends to listen a bit more. Not completely 100% but almost there! lol
