I've been back and forth with the deciding to get try to get pregnant situation. I'm not sure how hard it will be for us to conceive but I've been married for nearly 5 years and have been waiting already, I don't know if I'll be able to handle months and months of unsuccessful attempts. I'm scared to tell people when we're TTC for fears it won't work out like we plan. I may start my own "pre-conception and conception diary" here on MomLogic before I get the courage to post it on my own blog.

Do you know of things you can eat to make me/ my husband more fertile? I'm thinking we may start trying beginning of August. I've already been tracking my cycle for 2 months to get a head start. Man, I'm type-A!

Has anyone been on the Depo shot and now having problems getting pregnant? I've been on the depo for 7 years and for some reason i just feel that i am infertile. I've been off it since July and my period started in November. We have been trying to watch my ovulation dates but no success.

I have had two successful IVF procedures, I have a 3 year old son and I'm about to give birth any day now with my second (a girl this time) - I am 38 (was 35 the first time around) and tried for many years with no success until I went to IVF. It is a long hard road (and extremely emotional) dealing with medications, needles and the expense - but I can tell you that it is worth every single penny, and every single trip to the doctor and every single prick with the needle! I had 5 cycles in all to get the two successful - if you go this route, don't give up - be strong and good things will for sure happen! Good luck to everyone!!!

To the ladies who have had IVF how exactly does it work? My hubby and I are considering IVF if we don't have any luck within the next 5 years. I know what the process is medically, but how did you guys go about starting the process? Did you just ask your doctor, or fertility specialist? Or do you have to go through a certain specialist? I am part of the conception diaries...so I am hoping that this project works. If any of you ladies would like to connect, please don't hesitate sending me a message. My name is Kaci and I have been married for 6 years and have been tryin to concive since then but it hasnt happend yet I was told that I ha polycystic ovary syndrome I have taken meds but nothin yet sometimes I just think im nnot ment to have kids. When friends and family get pregnant they are so happy and I am happy for them to but also at the sametime I am sad becaouse it is not happening to me. On my side of the family we have 3 neices and 2 nephews and on my husbands side we have 3 nephews and they are young the odes is gunna be 5 in september I love them to death i am like a second mother to them but its not the same haveing your own kids I just diont know what to do anymore sometimes I just feel like its never gunna happen and just wanna stop trying. At times I think this maybe wearing on my marriage being sad happy and all kinds of emotions.If anyone has any suggestions please let me kow.

My name is Dawn and I have been married to my husband Matthew for 9 years now and we still do not have any children of our own. Matthew has a son that lives with us, he is a 11. We have tried and tried and tried. We sought out the help of a fertility Dr. about a year ago and after numerous tests and more tests all they could tell us was that I have an underactive thyroid, and that may be causing the infertiility. So they put me on some medicine to make my thyroid work normally and told us to go home and get pregnant and call when the test showed positive. Needless to say we have not made that phone call yet. It has turned into the biggest discouragement of our lives. Does anyone else have a tyroid problem that keeps them from getting pregnant? If so would love to talk with you. My medicine is working the way it should. I get blood work done every three months. So maybe we are doing something else wrong?

My husband and I have been married for 6 years. We have watched my brother have a wonderful son and our various friends have successful pregnancies. My husband and I have had problems connecting in the bedroom. I am 38 and he is 42. I have gone through all of the emotions of wanting to have a child and being jealous of all of my friends who are pregnant or have children. We are both in therapy together and have had many ups and downs in our marriage. We are now starting the process of IVF. We have also decided at the same time to try to get pregnant on our own. I am finally at a place where I am trying to learn to be happy for other people when they have children and realizing that everyone has their own journey in life. I think this group came around at just the right time for me!!!

My husband and I are considering IVF. We've started the process by having fertility tests done but haven't told anyone yet about it.

I would like to try this treatment with all the trimmings on trying to conceive.
