I try to always plan my meals. I do it on a weekly or sometimes monthly basis and each meal feeds off of the other. So, one night I may have tacos with the fixings, next night I have a salad with cooked cubed chicken, next night I make a cheesy chicken casserole, etc.

I love all the smoothie recipes because frankly I can rarely get my daughter to eat her fruits and anytime you can pretend something is a shake and a treat and it's actually healthy is better. LOL!

This dish is tasty, economical, and you probably have most of the ingredients on hand. CHEESY TUNA AND NOODLES (takes: 40 minutes (15 min prep, 25 min cooking ) INGREDIENTS: 1 (12 ounce) bag wide egg noodles 1/2 coup onions, chopped 3 tablespoons butter 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1/4 cup milk 1 ( 6 ounce ) can tuna, drained 8 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/2 cup peas Preparation: 1. Cook egg noodles according to package directions, drain well and set aside. 2.While they're cooking, melt the butter in the bottom of a 2 qt. sauce pot. 3.Add the onion and saute until tender. 4.Add the soup, milk, tuna, cheese, pepper and peas, stir and continue to heat until cheese is melted and sauce is well blended. 5.Pour over noodles, mix well and serve.

My favorite hungry girl tip in to use Fiber One cereal instead of breadcrumbs to coat your chicken....that is a great way to get more fiber into my diet and my kids diets too. I know that fiber is so very important for health.

The smoothies are great. I find it difficult to eat enough fruit every day, so smoothies are a great way of getting what I need. They make great snacks, instead of candy, chips, etc.

I take a few red potatoes and brush on some olive oil then roll them in course salt (not too much) and bake. I usually eat one right out of the oven then the leftovers I just heat up in the microwave. Sometimes I will even just eat one cold without butter or anything. Solves my salt cravings!

Funny, I saw your post just after I posted mine. My 10 year old daughter loves smoothies so I have started having a few as well. They are so delicious. I freeze strawberries for her and she will usually put in half a banana and some of the frozen strawberries in hers. I always feel a bit healthier after I have one!
