I hate the term "mamma's boy" or "punk" and am doing EVERYTHING in my power to avoid turning my son into one. YES, he is my baby BUT I make sure I don't baby him.... too much. Lately I have had to push him away so that he does not rely on me every single second. It kills me, but I know it is for the GREATER good. When does telling your daughter "Your Pretty" become too much?

My God daughters ( 8 and 4 years old ) both happens to be gorgeous.. BUT..... it has become a bit of a problem recently. Long hours in the mirror, obsessed with what makes them look the prettiest. We want to compliment them and encourage them to builds self esteem, BUT self esteem can create a bridge to cockiness. When is flattery damaging and no longer positive reinforcement?
