Thanks! It is so easy to wrapped up in all of the day to day that suddenly it has been awhile since we as Moms have taken a deep breath and a step back and realize that we need to also carve out some time for ourselves. It is just so hard to do...

Yep- it's called life. The older I get, the more experiences I have to toss into the "pot!" We, as Moms do take on a lot and sometimes we really need to take a step back and look at how we do things. Great post!

Today I thank my children for helping me to learn to fall asleep again in the middle of the day, to the sound of raindrops hitting the window. I thank them for helping me rediscover the joy of puddle jumping, and no I am not referring to small air...

Taking the Back Seat

As mothers we are the go to people. The one person who often manages and balances it all. Work, schedules, kids activities and then provide all the home and emotional balance necessary for this little familial universe to exist. Yet the funny thing is as much as we are in charge, we also put ourselves in the back seat. More often than not we sacrifice for our kids, our family... but at what cost?

Tonight I was invited by a friend to a gathering of women for a jewelery party. I did not know anyo… Continue

Driven to Chocolate

I am almost 4 weeks from my surgery and my should is far, as my therapist and husband keep reminding me, from healed. That however is not my real issue, although it is true that somehow it got yanked and is now sore while I was playing an unintentional game of "Twister" on the stairs with KC today as she threw a tantrum. No. No, today was just one of those days.

A day when you wake up, get people out the door and gleefully get some work done before the other one wakes up. Then when you see her… Continue

Thank You

Today I thank my children for helping me to learn to fall asleep again in the middle of the day, to the sound of raindrops hitting the window. I thank them for helping me rediscover the joy of puddle jumping, and no I am not referring to small aircraft, rather to small people in pink Hello Kitty boots. Thank you both for reminding me of the joy and richness of being creative for no other reason than self satisfaction. And mostly I appreciate all of the silly giggles. Thank you KC & CJ, I lea… Continue

Less than 24 Hours

My pumpkin hour of 3 approaches when I pick up my son from school, and it is coming way too soon. Today has been rather frenzied as I try and plan for and figure out all the logistics for tomorrow. Have to get my rotator cuff repaired because I caught my 3 year old super girl as she "flew" off of a landing in our house. The surgery itself is not a stressor, just all the logistics. Trying to make sure that everything is organized for my husband and others that will be helping over the next few we… Continue

I tweet about my fight with breast cancer and becoming a mom for the first time. I have been trying to find more people to follow me so that I can spread awareness:
