jennifer fara said… - funny you say that. my son, 8 and daughter, 5 have never had a "official" sitter either. when confirmed, it would be the 28th in the afternoon for two or three hours. if she's nanny, she probably wouldn't need help. there would be a 2yr old, 2 1/2 yr old, 3 1/2 year old, 5 yr old and 8 yr old. hopefully mine, the two older ones, wouldn't give her any trouble but would help. i have a call into a neighbor as well. we're trying to tie all the lose ends up with the family. it's my cousin's 21st b'day and they're flying into nyc from dallas for her 21st.
i'm a ny transplant myself and living here just over a year. i miss home but i know this is a great place for kids and that's what prompted us to move here. my son loves ocean road. we looked in the beach also. i love that antrim has such small class sizes. hey, if he's happy though, i'm not going to complain. we live right off arnold on lawrence. we're actually selling our house. just because we went a little too big. i want something smaller, less expensive and easier to maintain. we'll stay right here in this neighborhood, east of the canal, in ocean road school district. i keep asking my son if he'd move to the beach because there are some great buys right now, but he says no.... i don't want to ruin a good thing and it's a good thing if he likes his school, right?
well, thanks for the great advice. i forgot about the place on 34. it looks like it's awesome and now it's great to have some first hand feedback. i actually think they would like that place....
maybe you can put the word out to the nanny and see what she thinks. in the meantime, i'll keep you posted on my family and when they make up their minds.

- hey, i should ask you this - on the 28th, it's possible that i'll have 15 adults looking for a local restaurant for lunch with great food. casual but nice. what's your thoughts???? i love farrells and europa south has great food. also, you wouldn't happen to have a nice sitter or two for the occasion. i'm in the process of looking for one and would probably need two for that day for a couple of hours. thanks debbie!
