DeeJay Quick said… - Yeah, we live in a fairly small town and when I got sick, my husband is sorta "high profile" in this town but he is still in denial and since I don't see people often, they don't KNOW I'm sick either. You know it's not a conversation you get into at the grocery store when you run into someone. I'm sure there are rumors out there about me and how I've aged and look tired etc....(small town stuff where people like to talk about you but not to you about it!) It's a love hate thing, cuz I don't want pity yet I feel sometimes like I need to explain the rapid weight loss (or gain...I'm like a balloon..I get big,then small then big then small) then again, I think...boy you sure find out who your true friends are! Even my own family doesn't "get it" yet. Oh well, like you say what do ya do? Live on, start over? One blessed day at a time, right?

- Yes, all too well! Don't think of it as "faking it", it is reality. I bet you hear "but you don't look sick" a lot! I want to thank you for the website to Proverbs31. That too lifted my spirits! I am more dedicated to reading the scripture when I have a study guide (support) and mine is almost over now I know where to go! Maybe the internet "aint such a bad place afterall" :) !
