My son, also 2.5 does this some, but right now he has his finger up his nose. The other thing he does in the bath tub a lot. My friend's son, who is 2, pinches his own nipples...like all day, so I think it is a boy thing....to be . . . um... weird...
I have 3 boys who are now 10, 9, 6.5. My oldest used to do this a lot at that age, especially when he was nervous. I am happy to report that it was a short-lived habit --- my guess is that the more you make a big deal of it, the worse it could get...
Funny about this subject because a little while ago I had to get after my 2.5 year old for mooning me! Where did he get that from? He stick his hands in his pant too and laughs. All I can say is just keep at reminding him that it inappropriate.

I could really use the camera, I am doing my student teaching in January and we have to have all of our porfolio on a dvd I could use the camera to take the pictures and put it on a disk.
