Learning From What We Live Through

It's been said that life is what happens when you are making plans. This is what I experienced last May when life interrupted my plans to regularly update this blog over the summer and took me instead on a five month medical journey that ended with having part of my colon removed on October 14th. I apologize for my absence and look forward to resuming my momlogic posting activities after I recover from the surgery.

It puzzles me when people on shows like “Designed to Sell” wait to fix up their home until they are ready move out. Why not do the work up front so you can enjoy the fruits of your labor? My husband feels the same way and, over the past year, we have been working to finish decorating our home. Bill’s in charge of finding artwork. I believe that a wife should be her husband’s biggest cheerleader ... especially when her children are present. Years ago, I remember one of my daughters complaining that Bill was working all the time. I was quick to remind her that it was her dad’s job that made it possible for me to stay home with them. Several years later, I am still waving pom-poms for my spouse. Like when Katie started to get after her dad for not hanging up his jacket.

Tonight, my youngest asked her Dad if the Easter Bunny was coming.

When Bill told her that the Easter Bunny might be feeling a little under the weather this year, she quickly replied: "You look fine to me."
