Suzie Says: Update for CML -- A new blogger is coming! et al.

I'm sitting here with my daughter. She's recuperating from a minor surgery and I'm doing things like making food, ensuring that she takes her medication every four hours, and talking a lot (it appears that pain meds make her very chatty).

Last month my older daughter had a baby, so I was getting to do much the same.

It's 1:54 a.m.

It's 1:54 a.m. and I'm awake. My beautiful granddaughter (pictured -- isn't she beautiful?) just had a feeding and I'm taking the next shift, hoping that mama and daddy will get some much needed sleep. Many things run through your head at 1:54 a.m., but what seems to be on my mind at this ~~late~~ early hour is a walk down memory lane.

It seems to have a "what I wish I'd known then" theme.

Suzie Says: Train them up...so they'll grow strong and find their way

Train them up... It's a scripture I've heard a thousand times, but it came to life last Sunday. It was long night with baby Elle, my week-old granddaughter. My daughter had stitches, was nursing for the first time, was sleep deprived, sore, swollen. Elle was hungry and frustrated and did what babies do. She cried long and loud.

Why CML?

Why Christian Momlogic, Suzie? Aren't you busy enough? And you're kids are grown?

My kids are grown, but I'm still a mom and as of Saturday now I'm a grandma. (See my precious granddaughter in the pic?!)
