I'm sitting here with my daughter. She's recuperating from a minor surgery and I'm doing things like making food, ensuring that she takes her medication every four hours, and talking a lot (it appears that pain meds make her very chatty).

It's 1:54 a.m. and I'm awake. My beautiful granddaughter (pictured -- isn't she beautiful?) just had a feeding and I'm taking the next shift, hoping that mama and daddy will get some much needed sleep. Train them up... It's a scripture I've heard a thousand times, but it came to life last Sunday. It was long night with baby Elle, my week-old granddaughter.
