My daughter is in the Navy, she is on her third deployment. She has a daughter Aniya, who will be 3 yrs old next month. On her last deployment, she sent the baby with the father to Maryland. She gave him power of attorney to care for her until Dec. 1, 2008. When he found out that she had re-enlisted, He filled for full custody of Aniya.
This boy lives with his parents, Is not on the birth certificate, nor was she ever married to him. He has since been arrested for grand theft, and can't keep a job. But I looks like he may get custody of Aniya.
How can this happen? Is this how the service men and women are rewarded for servicing our country.
I know longer know what to do. My daughter is returning home in October, an she still will not have anything but more court cases to attend...in Maryland! We live in California the baby ws born in California.
I hope that someone can tell me what to do to help her.
