Throw Dad a Father's Day Fiesta!

Celebrate Father's Day with great food, décor, and good times ... without spending the big bucks! Here's how.Fiesta Decor: Display framed photos of Dad as centerpieces ... have shots of him through the years with his kids, his father, his grandfather. Use this opportunity to celebrate all the wonderful men and fathers in your life. Cover all the tables with a roll of white paper tablecloth, then leave boxes of crayons and markers out so everyone can draw pictures and messages to Dad. Instead of…See More

Pet Logic

Is your home pet-friendly or are the kids still begging to bring home a four-legged creature? Are the kids responsibile for their pet's care? Or is that another job for mom? Has your family lost a pet? How did you deal with the kids' grief?

Graduation Parties on a Budget

You can still throw a great party even when the economy is in a rut ... it just takes a little creativity.

After all the hard work and studying is done, it's time to let loose and celebrate. Remember, graduations should be ALL about the graduate. So before you start planning the party, sit down with the grad and see what kind of party they want. Here's how:

Teens in a party

Diploma-Style Invites: Nowadays you can do just about anything on the computer, including… Continue

Make your next party “memorable” with these Memorial Day must-haves:

What’s not to love about Memorial Day; the 3 day weekend, warm weather, a sign that summer is finally here and most importantly, the day we honor all the men and women in the US military.

A Kid’s Patriotic Parade: Gather all the children together with their bikes, wagons or scooters…Moms join in with your strollers. Decorate your ride with red, white and blue streamers, balloons and of course, American flags…yellow ribbons would also be a nice touch. Once the decorating is done, it’s… Continue

Spend Less than $20 on Your Next Party

Make Mom a Star for the Day!

To give your mom a day she will never forget, here are some tips that will make any mother feel like a star!

Buy her favorite flowers: There's a reason Mother's Day is the busiest day of the year for florists ... every mother loves receiving flowers! Pick up some of your mom's favorites (my mom loved daisies). If that particular flower comes in different colors, buy them in her favorite color. If you don't already know your mom's favorite flower and color, now is a good time to find… Continue

Hello Lucy, Love the eco-friendly party. There is nothing like bringing your grandkids back to the tree you planted 40 or so years ago. I drive by our first house on Cook Ave and can't believe how big that tree is we grew from a "helicopter seed". Great idea's keep them coming.
