About Wendy
Wendy and her husband have been married for 19 years. Both of them grew up with parents who struggled financially, so they made a conscious choice to go to school and put their careers first. Their plan was to become extremely successful and financially stable before they had children. They have done everything in their power to NOT have children. Now, Wendy and her husband live in affluent neighborhood, have the careers, have all the toys, but feel there's something missing -- a baby.

- You are doing the right thing - stepping away and forgetting about it for a while can do wonders. We went on vacation and I refused to take any of my "pee sticks" (that is what my husband calls them) with me. I found out 2 weeks later I was pregnant. Unfortunantely it did not work out but atleast I know now that I can get pregant. It will happen all in good time - I know that your clock is ticking, I say this as I hear my own tick-tock. You did nothing wrong, you will be a Mommy - you'll see. Take care and good luck.

- I am also in my 30s. My husband and I are doctors. Now that we are financially stable, own a home, we want to start a family. This, as you know, has proven to be easier said then done. We are now starting Clomid, a fertility drug, to help us along. It is so fustrating to see others who are not prepared, who do not care, and could not offer a child as much as we can get pregnant. I get mad at the women on TV shows who did not know they were pregnant - why do they get to have a baby?! Thank you for sharing your story, I see myself in you - happy and hopeful one day and in tears the next. May the force be with you on your journey to motherhood...as I hope it is with me.

- Wendy, You are so sweet! Motherhood is all I'm seeking/thinking about these days... But I do wonder if I could handle people asking me every month "are you pregnant yet?" But then again maybe "I'll tell you when I am" would be enough? I don't know. But yes, like you said I think the reward will be a million times worth it! (PS: I just looked at your pics and you are your husband are CUTE!)
Oh, and I think if it were just up to my husband we WOULD wait 19 years! I'm surprised I have the itch already at 4.5, I guess reading all of these blogs though has made me realize it may not be as easy as I thought.

- We were trying to conceive naturally until we found out that is would not happen naturally due to my husband sperm count and motility. So we went through so far 1 round of IVF which was unsuccessful. We will be starting round 2 in June.

I have a new litter of puppies to take pictures of. 3 females and many more to come. This camera would come in handy for a scrapbook for all my babies.
