Hello!
Back in December 2008, I created
Mom Made That!, a site used to promote mom businesses and blogs. I had no idea how fast it would grow or how popular it would become! I truly feel blessed!
If you haven't stopped by in a while, or have never visited, I encourage you to do so at…

Summer is nearly here and with it comes family vacations. When my kids were little I always looked forward to these vacations. We would load up the RV and be gone for 3 to 4 weeks seeing the country. RVs work great for vacations if you have kids. I did not know this on our first family vacation so I booked a flight to Club Med. in the french west indies. We only had the girls then and they were 3, 4, and 8 years old, the perfect age for long flights and long layovers. What was I thinking!…

Online identities can be a funny thing. Sometimes you try to emulate the essence of who you really are. At other times, the essence you emulate is nothing like the real you.
Lately, I have been stressing about both.

Entrecard Terms: My Blog - My Terms
A short note to my Entrecard droppers ~
I will not be accepting paid Entrecard ads and have set my advert settings to “Reject.” I have found that the banner ads coming through often were not reflective of the material that was actually on the sites that they linked to.
Also, I want some control over what types of sites advertise here, as this blog, as well as my other blogs are family oriented.
Please be assured that if you EC drop on any of my blogs and d…

Words fail me when we live in a world where this is not a crime. The Saudi judge Sheikh Habib Al-Habib denied the 8 year old’s petition for the second time, first a divorce and then an annulment. He did make one concession, that the 47 year old husband sign a document that he would n…

Momlogic posed the question: What is your “Mom” Anthem on twitter. I gave it a lot of thought and I read the answers of other moms…who had great song choices. Some were uplifting like ” I hope you Dance” and sentimental like ” Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. Mine was “Little girls” from the musical Annie.
Let me explain before you deluge me in negative comments.
My kids were born in ‘75..’79..’80 and ‘88. The first three were girls and for a few years there it was only girls. My husband ‘73 said…

Let me tell you a story. Many of your have heard this story because, well, I talk about it quite a bit. It's my life.
When I met my husband, who I call CandyMan, one of the first things I discovered about him was his love for languages and cultures. As newlyweds, we spent a summer in Russia, and I often had to find my way around Moscow on my own while CM was interning at the newspaper. Shortly after we got married, he got his degree in Russian and International Relations and jumped into the wor…

I updated my blog (http://visualperspective.wordpress.com/) with a post about copyright infringement. Part of the reason I wrote this blog was due to the actions of another blogger who stole a photo to use on their site. This blogger doesn’t see anything wrong with it and has written two blog posts slamming the photographer who sent him a standard notice of copyright infringement. This problem has been an ongoing discussion in the photography community, a lot of bloggers don't seem to realize yo…

Being the award winning time managment type I am, it's damn near 4am and I'm up watching Making the Band 4 ... Because you know when you've gotta be up in 4 hours ... That's what you do, right ... In case it's escaped anybody, I'm being sarcastic ...
Episode's done and I'm off to bed. I slip in next to my little itty bitty and of course he wakes up!
He seems to be sleepy still which is great since I'm now in a codeine-induced haze (Thank you, Dr. Singhla) ... There is silence and I'm all, "thi…

Pancakes have been my five-year-old's favorite food ever since she started feeding herself. So much so , that we we picked up a copy of Eric Carle’s Pancakes, Pancakes a few years back. Smart storytelling is mixed with science, math and most importantly fun. Carle's story of a boy,…

momLOGIC peeps:
Hi, I'm a mom in Minnesota, an advocate for the disabled and an activist. Next week I'll be attending the Good Jobs/Green Jobs Conference in Washington, DC.
See: http://tinyurl.com/b9mqam
I've written a blog about it here: http://tinyurl.com/bbkved and I'll keep chatting while at the conference. I hope you can swing by and take a look. Moreover, I'd like to hear from you!
Conference attendees get to talk to members of the US Congress about green jobs. But what's it to you? Wha…

The final days of October are upon us. Although this week may present its share of costume debacles and battles for remaining bags of Snack Size candy (all which will promptly become 75% off on Nov 1st), there are some other scary events around the blogosphere to consider before Halloween.
Are you a blog addict? Are you incapable of sipping your first cup of coffee before checking your Reader? Do people in your life live with the realization that all embarrassing moments and dialogue are fair g…
