If you break your mom bone, can you get treatment?
Two weeks ago I spent the entire work week at a "Substance Abuse & Society" class back at my ol' alma mater, William and Mary. Each morning I left the house around 7am, drove an hour to Williamsburg, and then made it back home around 6pm. Now, in my guesstimation, I assumed I would miss the kids by Tuesday afternoon.
Tuesday and Wednesday came and went.
On Wednesday afternoon, as I sipped my hot coffee while cruising down 64, I felt a lit…

Friday night, GOD taught me a lesson that is still fresh on my mind. I had to pick my s-son up from a baseball game, and I had to drive to a unfamiliar part of town. As we were traveling back home, I made a wrong turn and was lost. I eventually got off the freeway and…

I'm just a supernatural woman...come on sing alone with ME! And yeah I said
SUPERNATURAL!
We are natural woman, who must choose to walk in the spiritual realms by the power of the Holy Spirit. Having faith and trusting in an unseen God, to do what needs to do done in our life.
I have chosen to proudly embrace a Superstitious belief system.
Religious practices are most likely to be labeled "superstitious" by outsiders when they include belief in extraordinary…

Those of you reading this that know me well, know that I am very rarely at a loss for words. Yet as I sit down to write this post, I am struggling to put words to the thoughts that are in my mind right now.
I just finished an amazing book by Philip Yancey titled
What's so Amazing About Grace? I bought this book about 3 years ago when I was struggling with the definition of grace. For some reason, I got the book, but I set it aside to read at a later time. I am not sure what compelled me…

A long time ago I took a risk with God. Opening my heart to Him meant that I would be vulnerable. I had learned that if I stepped outside my carefully constructed walls, I could be hurt. Was I willing to let God past those barriers? Letting Him in became a first step in a life o…

A drain in our basement is clogged and there is water in our basement. My husband worked on it for part of the morning. Although I should be equally concerned, for some reason, I am not.
Why?
After pondering this question for a few seconds I realized that I trust Bill to solve the problem because it's his area of expertise, not mine. Knowing how good if feels to hand my problems off to an expert makes me wonder why more people don't turn theirs over to God.
Whenever my daughters wonder…
