Brooke Baumer Blue balls, anyone?

I’m years away from the sex talk, but here’s a funny precursor. My daughter loves balls. Blue balls. No, she hasn’t been traumatized by seeing my husband in his birthday suit. I’m talking about a set of good old-fashioned plastic balls. Two weeks ago, Emory’s Maw Maw bought her an inflatable castle filled with multi-colored plastic balls. She spends hours in her fortress, tossing balls in and out. But recently, we picked up on a trend. She only throws the blue balls. No purple. No yellow. No pi… Continue

Rolemommy I Wish I Were 17 Again!

Just came back from seeing 17 Again with my kids - okay - I know it's PG-13 and I did find myself in a pickle when my 10 year old asked me what they were handing out in the sex education class, but other than that scene, the movie was a lot of fun. So it was common for me to receive doubtful stares and odd glances from parents of my… Continue

Momisodes Get a Free Copy of Chicken Soup For The Soul: Moms Know Best

As thousands of people are sinking their teeth deep within the pages of the latest vampire series, I’m not. I have a few issues. I pick up a book, read a few pages, then suddenly it’s dinner and I have T-minus 25 minutes to whip up something the family is willing to eat, but will not result in an ER visit due to a clogged artery or malnutrition. Then there are dishes…and the laundry…and my Google Reader on the verge of explosion…and oh yea, my family to attend to. Point is I have not been able… Continue

My Neighbors daughter who is eleven years old wrote this for my mom at school, I wanted to share it with you for Inspiration, God Bless.
