3rd grade "I'm Going Green" show

I went to my son's 3rd grade "I'm Going Green" show this morning. It was adorable! They sang about 5 songs and they all had cute hand motions. It was fun watching all of the kids try to keep up with the movements and do the same thing. Some of the kids were shy and kept their hands down low while the more outgoing kids' hands were all over the place. I don't know why but Sebastian yawned a lot. Your thoughts and prayers please.

My Uncle passed away this morning. Despite the fact that it was somewhat expected, it was still a shock to get the phone call. He had Alzheimer's and was only in his mid 60's. He suffered with Alzheimer's for going on about 10 years now, but before the last 10 years he was humorous, always trying to make us laugh. Are we too hard on ourselves around the holidays?

It's the Monday before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature is stiring, not even a mouse. That is totally not true. I am a mess, feel gulithe kids are full of energy from I don't know where and I haven't gotten 2/3 of what I wanted to get done, done. Cookies, cards, food shopping, putting up the wreaths, the list goes on. These are all things I HAVEN'T done. 9 year old won't play with toys!?

Between work, holiday shopping, holiday decorating, and regular family life, the last two weeks have been a blur. I'm sure you are there with me. Can you relate to this? Sebastian is 9 years old and I've had a hard time coming up with gifts for him this year. He doesn't play with toys much anymore. He has Transformers, G.I. Hard night for Madelyn

Madelyn seemed to be running a fever last night but her ear thermometer said 36.6 C which according to most websites I looked at, translates to 97 or so. Tim ended up sleeping with her all night after I left her room at midnight. She is fine this morning so I hope it was just a 24 virus type thing. The stress and worry though! We were both so worried. I am so exhausted, don't know why

I feel like I have a hangover this morning. I didn't drink last night and wasn't up exceptionally late (went to bed at 12). I didn't finally roll out of bed until 8:15 this morning only to find Sebastian on the couch watching TV and no sign of Tim or Madelyn.
