Empty Nest Mom

Hi

I'm looking forward to writing and meeting other Moms
I'm not computer literate but determined to learn

For instance, my daughter emailed me a picture of ME and I can't figure out how to get it on my profile.

Will the general public be able to google my name and read my blog?

I have alot to say and I am looking forward to this

Please bear with me and help me if you can !!!

I have an 18 year old daughter (adopted at 6 weeks of age)
a husband I have been with for 25 years, a labrador retriever named Jasmine.

I have twins, so I don't have an older kid to learn from. I am so worried about one of my boys. 21 years old, in Chicago, no job, looking for work, blew all of his education money, down to a couple of months of living money, crappy economy, thousands of miles from home. It is so hard to step back and let him learn. My boys are late bloomers, his brother survived cancer as an infant and again as an adolescent, so my parenting experience has been complex as has my boys' maturation experience.

Well, for your picture, when you open your email, next to the picture you should have a button that says "view" and another that says "download" or "save". For now, I would click the "download" or "save" and it will ask you where. I would make sure that I save it on "desktop" and give it a name you like. Then go to your profile here or "my page" and on the side, underneath what you now have as your picture click on change my photo. This will take you to another screen (profile) and right underneath your name is "profile photo", you want to click on "upload from my computer". And hit "choose file", it will then take you to a smaller window. Make sure the bar on top, next to the bar that says "search" is on desktop, if not click on it and scroll down to "desktop", once you do that all the files on your desktop will come up underneath. Find whatever you name your photo as and click on it and it will upload to your Momlogic Page.

I am far from having an empty nest, but can appreciate what that feels like from watching my mom miss us so much when we left home (she has since passed from breast cancer). Welcome and I hope my instructions helped. Once you master the uploading pictures, I would love to see pictures of your dog...I love labs and retrievers...not sure if I have ever seen a mix!
