Since Friday there's been some interesting conversation going on about Madonna not being able to adopt the child from Malawai. The comments have been varied, everything from, "it should just be about the child no matter what the laws, rules etc say" to what's wrong with our own orphans here in the US" I just read a story which stated "Madonna flew in on her private jet and in her luxury hootel had a party complete with entertainment for the heads of her charitable organization which helps provide for the orphans over there as well as the government officials" I know she has more money than she knows what to do with, but imagine what it cost for all of the above and what that same money could have done for orphans here, and since she is providing for them over there why not adopt a child here and give them a loving home? Children are being adopted everyday by loving parents and the only time we here anything about it, is if it concerns a celebrity. It would be wonderful if they would use their celebrity to bring the attention back to the plight of the children in our country. Share your thoughts!
